Techfugees Melbourne Newsletter : 24/03/2016

Thanks for signing up to attend the Techfugees Melbourne Hackathon!

We want to ensure everyone has an great time so here are just a few important house-keeping items.

Quick Survey

Please complete this survey so that we are aware of your needs around food allergies, prayer rooms, transportation etc.

We have been overwhelmed by response to the event. We definitely won't be able to release additional tickets due to venue capacity and insurance. If your plans change and you can not make the hackathon after all, please cancel your ticket so that we can release the spot to another interested attendee on our waitlist.

Respecting Others
We want to encourage you to share your pics on social media and all the excitement over the weekend. However, this hackathon is not your typical hackathon. Some of the attendees are former refugees who may have been or are currently in a vulnerable situation and therefore need your understanding and patience.

Please be considerate of your fellow attendees and seek permission if you are taking any visibly identifiable photos/videos and being conscious of items such name tags. For those who would prefer not to be photographed or interviewed by press, please indicate this in the survey above so that we can do our best to ensure others in the room respect your wishes. Additionally, we ask that all attendees review and observe the Code of Conduct.

Phew, now that's out of the way!

Prizes Galore
Have you checked out our kick ass electronic goodies bag we've compiled from our amazing sponsors Dropbox, Amazon Web Services, Stripe, LawPath and General Assembly? We'll share with you how to claim all of these at the event but General Assembly's offer is available now - check it out below.
